And most likely Howard's lost his seat too....

there goes the reported $US1 mil speaking tours he could have got as a conservative hero on the US corporate circuit!

Sorry but part of me can't help lol...

i'm old enough to remember a Govt before his and the "inventive spin" he used to trash them. And why bother listing all the manipulations etc. Its been a long time...

      Congratulations to Australia!

Now, maybe the U.S. will show the same sense next year...

It's good (the bastard)... I closed my eyes and listened to it and thought that it did not quite sound "right" because of some of the slight variations in accent and rhythms - but it is heaps better than many many others... I have never heard him “in conversation” – and he was making “a speech” on that youtube… I wonder who taught it to him – not too many hard “rrrrrrr”s I am impressed though ! Twenty times better than me ! Let's hope he can run the county as well !

It all depends on who you're comparing him with. More conservative that the "traditional" Labor which is kinda dead worldwide now in any case? Yes.

No where near as conservative as we've had for the last decade tho, hopefully anyway.

Gotta remember that under the influence of Howard & Co. Aust is more conservative than it was before...less of that more "communal, we are all in this together" instinct; anything else other than the individual rules fuck you i'm OK has been considered commie pinko shit lol. But we shall see....

as Howard (and Keating before him) said, you change the Govt, you change the face of the country.
